Another submission for SketchyMiami.

One of the assignments while at Miami Ad School. Done entirely in Photoshop.
” During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in the US and around the world. With their Mo’s, these men raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men. ” — Movember.com
We crossed this bridge heading South as we travelled through Penellas County. The view at the crest of the bridge is breathtaking. Didn’t realize till now that the Skyway Bridge was once the scene of a horrible event. You can’t help but to feel scared as you cross it. Beware.
What an ominous way to begin this blog. On this day – October 5th 2011 – the founder and guru of Apple Incorporated, Steve Jobs, has passed away. The image above (sans frame) is what greeted me when I visited the Apple.com site at around 8pm in the evening. And how prophetic that the news should come one day after the release of what would be the companies most momentous achievement. This week would see the release of the iPhone 5 and iOS 5 software for iPhone and iPad. And from what experts predict, our way of interacting with our smartphones will be revolutionized yet again with the introduction of the Siri program – now aptly known as ‘Assistant’. The thought that Steve was probably not able to share with us in the excitement: ironic, strange and sad.
I can’t help but to the feel a little bit melancholy about his death. For the past few months i’ve heard rumors that Steve was sick with one website posting a picture of him – wearing a robe – being held up by a friend as he stood on the sidewalk looking frail and a shell of his former self. I guess this should come as no surprise to anyone since the news of his battle against cancer has been highly publicized.
Today, I am proud to say that I am a Mac person. Ridicule the notion if you want. Those of us that own an Apple product can attest to the fact that our lives have been drastically changed and it was Steve Job’s genius that helped guide us to the technological promised land. He left an indelible mark on the world and I don’t think he’ll ever be forgotten.
Steve, may you have a pleasant journey and may you be at peace where ever you are.
Here’s to you Steven-Paul Jobs.
We will miss you.
Salute.
